Starlink + Rogers: Bringing Real Satellite-to-Phone Connectivity to Canada’s Wilderness

Rogers Communications and Starlink have launched “Rogers Satellite,” a full satellite-to-mobile service in Canada. As of December 2025, users in remote or coverage-dead zones can connect with their regular smartphones to access data, voice, video, and popular apps — including WhatsApp, Google Maps, and more. The service dramatically expands Canada’s wireless coverage and enables connectivity in wilderness, coastal, rural and remote areas where cell towers don’t reach.

Falcon 9 Launches 29 Starlink Satellites from Florida — Rollout Continues

On December 9, 2025, SpaceX launched 29 new Starlink satellites aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Florida. The mission expands the Starlink constellation and the rocket’s first stage landed successfully, continuing SpaceX’s track-record of reusable launches. The added satellites will help strengthen global satellite-internet coverage—especially benefiting rural, remote, or underserved regions—while demonstrating that high-frequency, cost-efficient launches are becoming the new normal in space infrastructure.
