SpaceX has moved its next Starship upper stage to the launch pad at Starbase in South Texas, kicking off pre-flight tests ahead of its upcoming 11th orbital flight test.
Captured in recent photos, the shiny silver “Ship” was seen being transported down a Starbase road at night, then positioned vertically in the launch tower’s grasp. These tests likely include pressurization checks, engine runs, and other systems work to make sure everything is ready for launch.
Flight 10 was a successful rebound for SpaceX—both Super Heavy and Ship met splashdown targets, and the upper stage deployed eight mock Starlink satellites. With this new movement, attention now shifts toward making sure Flight 11 meets or exceeds that performance.
SpaceX has not yet announced an exact launch date for Flight 11, but this pad rollout signals that the countdown is winding up. Fans and observers are watching for updates as static fires, pressurization tests, and final checks proceed.
This is another key step in Starship’s development—with every haul to the pad and every test, SpaceX is closing in on more reliability and capability for its next generation of rockets.
