Falcon 9 launches the @ProjectKuiper KF-02 mission to orbit from Florida

Cape Canaveral, FL – August 7, 2025 – SpaceX has postponed today’s planned launch of the Project Kuiper KF‑02 mission to conduct additional vehicle checkouts, the company has confirmed. The second Falcon 9 flight carrying Amazon’s broadband satellites is now targeted for liftoff on Friday, August 8, with a 25‑minute launch window opening at 9:40 a.m. EDT (13:40 UTC). This upcoming mission marks the fourth deployment of fully operational Kuiper satellites, and will bring the total number in orbit to 102. The mission will lift off from Space Launch Complex‑40 at Cape Canaveral, with the Falcon 9 first-stage booster (B1091)—making its first flight—aiming to land on the droneship "A Shortfall of Gravitas" in the Atlantic Ocean.
